Sierra PC 5220 Card (PC5220)Mark: Average I am currently using a Sierra PC5220 card. It is a PC card that has a USB controller and modem on board. In order to use it you need the PC5220.sys from Steven Levine, and a few other support items he mentions in his email. I am using mine with Verizon. You will need to initialize the card in Windows, then there is no more reliance on Windows. Once it is all set up, In-Joy can control it like any other modem. When I first got the card, about 3 years ago, my speeds were about half way between dial-up and DSL, but as more people are using the service, speeds have fallen to around 56K. Sometimes as fast as 100K and sometimes as slow as 20K. The good thing is that I can connect practically everywhere I go. Also, at present, sites like Facebook and MapQuest that are graphic-intensive tend to get dropped a lot. I have no trouble with the vast majority of sites like eBay, the Washington Post, etc.
