OS/2 is a greatly different operating system for PC (ArcaOS, eComStation, IBM OS/2 Warp)
Applications, news, reviews, support of users, hardware, questions and answers.
I want you to know that I really like DVD/Toys software.
It's so nice to see that great software like that are still written for OS/2.
I'm proud to have left Micro$oft has my main OS to get back to eCS.
It reminds me of a great period (1992-1998) when I used to love playing
with a PC... with OS/2. :)

The product(s) "DVD/CD Toys" is in no way a toy, it's a user
friendly product that integrate very well with the operating system.
You can use it to copy and burn CD's and DVD's but also prepare ISO
files. eCo Software's graphics designers has created a nice modern look
that is pleasant, yet sparse enough for those who prefer a sleek design.
The layout of the main window provide enough information how to use it,
so one doesn't feel any need to read any help either, a truly well
built and designed user interface. There's a minimum of configuration
needs, something I really appreciate, as DVD/CD Toys take care of the
configuration stuff automatically and hide obscure commands. You can
use one button to select which burner you want to use to burn your
project. Drag a folder with files either from a drive or the built in
file browser to the window and a green progressbar will show the
calculated size for you. The visual estimation has been paired with a
status area with information about much data has been added to the
project and how more data you can add in text form as well. The project
browser allow the user to rename files and folders with an Alt + mouse
click, something that I found useful for several files that otherwise
would have strange names on the DVD's.
DVD/CD Toys does however lack a
few things in its current version (0.04.01), though I can see them as
additions that not everyone may need such as that clone mode aint
supported, nor UDF format or multi session CD/DVD's. Something I'd like
to see is information about (ETA) during burn (Estimated Time of
Arrivial as provided by CDRTools) as well the possibility to save the
project for later and also delete source files after a successful burn,
but I guess such features will be implemented in coming versions.

Just tried this frontend for the first time. Have just started
trying - but so far it seems to be very easy to handle. Great
peace of work! I was happily surprised.
